CASA AZUL by the Donlon Dance Company / SST successfully guested last month in Bad Kissingen, a perfect warm-up for the three weeks tour through Asia in Autumn.
The new production ELEKTRO KIF by Blanca Li had an euphoric audience response in Paris and Madrid. Congratulations!
The finale of "The Winners are ..." is pending. Marguerite Donlon presented already twice award-winning artists from international competitions. Next week, the winners of the winners, Teresa Rotemberg and Loïc Perela, will show their creations for the company.
"Volatile and whimsical": Life is a long quiet river, and at some point people somehow find their thing - you would think! New situations can spring to life at any time. Teresa Rotemberg has choreographed a sequence of rapidly alternating episodes against a backdrop of compositions by Tanja Müller and a decor by Ric Schachtebeck.
Loïc Perela's "Avec le printemps derriere" develops a state of agony. The dancers are situated in a closed system, which keeps them trapped in spiritual darkness. They all carry the hope of an uncertain spring in themselves: "There is this tune that I sometimes can no longer hear, but which is still in me ..."
