Velox features a colourful climbing wall rigged with stepping treads. In Rota, the dominant image is of a 22 foot-high wheel. Casa spotlights body architecture in the domestic context of a split-level house. In 2002 Deborah was invited by Adolphe Binder, then artistic director of the BerlinBallett, for an entire evening to be a guest choreographer: this became part of the repertoire of the company. For this programme, premiered in February 2003 in Berlin, Deborah created ELA, which she later formed into an evening-length piece: No - Knot.
Recognition of her work has also come through several awards, including one of the most distinguished Brazilian prizes, the Prêmio Ministério da Cultura. With her choreography for Mix, Deborah Colker became the first Brazilian to receive the Laurence Olivier Award, one of the most prestigious in the UK.
